Gamma Electronics was founded in 2006 and is based in Pomona, California, (greater Los Angeles area). We began in the production and selling of heat shrink and heat shrinkable boots to the aerospace and defense industries, having multiple products approved by Boeing, Bell Helicopter, and Lockheed Martin. In the years following Gamma Electronics has continued to produce cable protection products, revolutionizing the market with the introduction of silicone cold shrink in 2015.
Gamma Cold Shrink was the first cold shrink tubing to be IP68 certified and saw near immediate use on AT&T’s FirstNet towers, with continued use to the present day. From this success we were able to broaden our cable protection product line, adding premium weatherproofing solutions including Slide-On Boots, Magic Tape, and Slide Locks.
Gamma’s relationship with AT&T expanded in May of 2019 when AT&T approved our Slide Locks for widespread AT&T use. To make the procurement process easier AT&T has since issued CEQ numbers for both Gamma Cold Shrink and Gamma Clam Shell Enclosures. In June of 2019 we were happy to announce a new distribution partnership with Tessco Technologies, a leading distributor in the telecommunications market, to help us further our reach and provide solutions to more of the telecommunications industry.
