The G.hn Aggregation Multiplexer (GAM) by Positron Access offers a cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional fiber technology for providing Gigabit Internet access to subscribers in Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and Single Family Unit (SFU) homes. Rather than costly and complex retrofitting with fiber, the GAM leverages existing telephone or coaxial infrastructure to deliver near symmetrical Gigabit services.
This is made possible through the use of the ITU-T G.9960 G.hn Wave-2 standard, which enables the delivery of advanced services such as Gigabit High Speed Residential Internet and 4K IPTV without the high capital and operational expenses associated with fiber retrofitting. The solution is highly scalable and MEF CE 2.0 compliant, making it an ideal choice for Business Ethernet services in an MDU and/or MTU deployment.
